Scottish Provident / Abbey National Project: Online Protection Calculation System Description:
Veriest were employed by one of their graphic design partners
Atom Design
to complete the build of a needs based protection calculation
system which determines the requirements of clients based upon
an understanding of their existing cover and individual and family
circumstances. The calculation system is available to all registered
Advisers of Scottish Provident's online IFA
Web Centre. The calculation system was built using JSP, Java
Servlets and JavaBeans. The Royal Bank of Scotland Project: Intranet applications for the bank's Human Resources (HR) department Description:
Veriest were employed by RBS to develop a Human Resource management
tool for use by internal staff. Utilising an Oracle database,
the application sits on the RBS intranet with appropriate security
restrictions. Veriest continue to work with RBS, developing amendments
and improvements to the system. To date we have developed various bespoke stand alone insurance calculation systems and are currently developing four further applications. Veriest are also in the process of developing an integrated suite of calculation systems accessible by brokers both on a stand-alone basis and via a secure extranet.
